Summer heat got you beat? We don’t blame you. We have been relying on this ultra-refreshing Watermelon Collagen Slushie to get us through the summer. It’s basically our healthy adult version of a watermelon snow cone, and we are loving it! We also added our Collagen Peptides for a boost of nutrition for our hair, skin, nails, bones and joints.
Watermelon season is in full swing, and we are always looking for ways to take advantage of it. Frozen watermelon gives this the best “slushie” consistency. We should also note, frozen watermelon pieces are delicious on their own… We definitely made sure to cut some extra to store for snacking later! Watermelon is a great source of vitamin C, lycopene (which supports heart health) and beta-carotene (which can help promote healthy eyes).
Of course, we just had to add some collagen into this Slushie, too. Our Collagen Peptides are an easy addition to just about any recipe. They are flavorless and odorless, so they’re super versatile! Watermelon Collagen Slushie
2 C watermelon, diced and frozen
2 t fresh squeezed lime juice
2 C coconut water
Handful of ice (optional)
1 stick pack (or one scoop) Collagen Peptides
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth. Enjoy!
