Lemon Custard Recipe

Combine the powerful benefits of lemons and collagen supplements with this super simple Lemon Custard recipe.

Lemon Custard Recipe


4 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups milk
Peel of one lemon; grated
2 1/2 scoops Vital Proteins Collagen Protein


1. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar in a heatproof bowl for 5 minutes.  Stir in the milk and grated lemon peel.
2. Sprinkle gelatin over 1/4 cup water in a separate sauce pan and heat/stir until dissolved, set aside.
3. Place the bowl containing the custard over gently simmering water and cook, stirring continuously, until mixture starts to thicken.  Remove from heat and stir in the gelatin.  Stir very thoroughly until the custard started to cool.  Leave to set.
