Lightly sweet and extra juicy, this Pear Lemonade is the perfect vehicle for a serving of our Collagen Peptides. Juice up fresh lemons and blend together with ripe pears for a unique take of a classic. It’s a refreshing thirst quencher your whole family will enjoy.
Juicy Pear Lemonade
Yields: 4 servings
4 medium lemons, halved
3 ripe pears, cored & chopped
2 c. filtered water
½ – ⅔ c. honey or maple syrup
½ tsp. vanilla extract
Large pinch of sea salt
1-2 scoops of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, per serving
Juice the lemons into a large blender and reserve the rinds. Add the chopped pears to the lemon juice and blend well. Optionally, push the pear/lemon mix through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp.
Add the lemon rinds to a medium pot, along with the 2 cups of water and honey (choose the honey amount for mild to medium sweetness). Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir well to dissolve the honey, turn the heat off, and cover with a lid for 10 minutes.
Strain the water out into the blender with the pear/lemon juice. Add the vanilla and sea salt and blend again until very smooth.
Refrigerate until serving or serve immediately over ice. Add the desired amount of Collagen Peptides to each glass and stir well to dissolve.
