Turmeric is a powerhouse superfood with natural soothing properties. Pairing turmeric with black pepper helps maximize turmeric’s benefits even further. Meanwhile, coconut oil is high in lauric acid, which also promotes health and well-being.

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 3 C water
  • 5 scoops Bone Broth Collagen
  • 1 2″ knob of fresh ginger – peeled and sliced
  • 1 1″ knob of fresh turmeric – peeled and sliced
  • 1 T of Unrefined (virgin) coconut oil
  • 2 t black pepper
  • 1 t salt

Directions:

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, add in the Bone Broth Collagen and stir until combined.
  2. Then add ginger, turmeric, coconut oil, salt and pepper. Lower heat and bring water to a simmer.
  3. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Remove pot from heat and strain ingredients through a fine mesh strainer.
  4. Taste for salt and pepper and adjust as needed. Sip and savor.

Health-Boosting Bone Broth

Garlic, apple cider vinegar and oregano all have naturally-occurring antibacterial properties that can help promote good health. Onions are naturally high in vitamin C, which is an integral part in collagen production.

  • ½ yellow onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic, peeled and smashed

Directions:

  2. Then add onion, garlic, apple cider vinegar, oregano, salt and pepper.
  3. Lower heat and bring water to a simmer. Cook for 15-20 minutes.
  4. After cooking, remove pot from heat and strain the ingredients.
  5. Add salt and pepper, if desired.

  2. Then add ginger, cilantro, lime, cumin, black pepper and salt.
