Dates are fruits from the date palm tree. They are a staple in middle eastern cuisine. They have been shown to be cultivated as far back as almost 6,000 years ago. They are used for various culinary dishes like puddings and breads and can be also eaten as a snack when pitted.

Dates are more than a naturally sweet snack. Dates have a good amount of fiber, helping with digestion issues. They are rich source of potassium and magnesium. They are also full of antioxidants. They are high in iron. Vitamin A is also present to promote healthy skin.

Dates with Vital Proteins Collagen

Dates are very easy to incorporate with Vital Proteins Collagen. The collagen with add protein and beneficial amino acids like glycine, proline, and arginine. These simple recipes can add dates into your diet for the mornings, afternoon snacks, or desserts.

Date and Pear Gelatin

3-4 dates, pitted
1 pear diced
1 1/2 cup coconut water
1 tablespoon Vital Proteins Collagen Protein

In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup of the coconut water and sprinkle on Collagen Protein, this will bloom the gelatin.

In a food processor, add the dates along with the remaining one cup of coconut water and puree until liquid.

Pour the pureed date juice into a medium sauce pot and heat on low-medium heat just until steaming. Once heated, pour the date juice into the water gelatin mixture and stir until dissolved. Set in the refrigerator for 90 minutes until the gelatin is almost set to a runny like texture. This will help the pears set in the gelatin.

Fold in the diced pear pieces and set back in fridge for another hour or two to completely set.

Date Almond Milk Smoothie

3-4 dates, pitted
1 cup almond milk
1-2 ice cubes
2 scoops Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides

Place all ingredients beside the peptides into a blender and blend until desired thickness. Add in the collagen peptides and pulse a couple of times until fully incorporated. Enjoy!
