Creamy Balsamic Sauce with Collagen Peptides

IMG_9767One of the easiest way to use our Collagen Peptides is to sneak a bit into sauces.  Simply dissolve one scoop into a bit of filtered water and add it into your favorite sauce.  This can add a boost of protein to salad dressings or sauces used to top meat or veggies.  The proteins in our Collagen Peptides offer a wide array of amino acids, helping to bring any meal closer to a complete protein source.  This Creamy Balsamic Sauce blends seamlessly with a bit of dissolved peptides and works great over meat, veggies, or even doubled as a salad dressing.

Creamy Balsamic Sauce with Collagen Peptides

Yields: 2 cups sauce

¼ c. filtered water

1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides

½ lemon, juiced

⅓ c. balsamic vinegar

½ tsp. dijon mustard

1 tsp. raw honey

1 garlic clove, chopped

1 tsp. sea salt

½ tsp. ground pepper

1 c. extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

In a small bowl, stir the Collagen Peptides into the filtered water to dissolve.  Pour the mix into a blender.  Add the lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, dijon mustard, raw honey, sea salt, and ground pepper.  Blend on high until the mix is smooth and the garlic is incorporated.  With the mixer on low, drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil. Once poured in, turn the speed to high and blend another 30-60 seconds, or until the sauce has thickened.

Enjoy immediately.  Leftovers should be kept in the refrigerator and may need to be shaken before serving again.
