Gyuran and Anderson said it best when describing their chocolate roses recipe to Lively: “These are creamy, rich dark chocolates that are infused with passion, and of course — collagen!”
- 2 T coconut oil
- 2 T almond butter
- 2 T raw cacao butter (you can sub this for coconut butter and it will work just as well)
- 3 t raw cacao powder
- 1 t maca powder
- 1/2 t rose water
- 1/2 t non-alcoholic vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (or Stick Pack)
- 1 T culinary Rose Petals
- In a double boiler, heat coconut oil and cacao butter over a low/medium heat, whisking until the oil is fully melted.
- Add the almond butter, stirring continuously, not allowing it to heat too quickly. Just as soon as it is melted, remove from the heat.
- Pour mixture into a bowl and then add the rose water, vanilla and a pinch of sea salt. Stir to combine.
- Mix in raw cacao, maca and Collagen Peptides. This will make the mixture slightly thicker, but still a liquid consistency. Then sprinkle in rose petals.
- Pour into silicone molds and set in the freezer for about 45 minutes to an hour the chocolates have hardened.
- Store in the refrigerator.
