Breakfast Options with Vital Proteins

Baked Eggs with Smoked Salmon

What better way to start off your day than with the melt in your mouth, fluffy, golden circle that is the pancake? Often times, commercial pancake mix and homemade pancakes are made with regular old flour and sweeteners that the Paleo lifestyle suggests to avoid. Did you know you could make a completely, whole based nutrition pancake with all natural, real food? It’s as easy as whipping up a normal pancake batter recipe.

If you’re on the Paleo diet or avoiding gluten, these pancakes are perfect. Vital Proteins Collagen adds protein and beneficial amino acids to traditional, otherwise nutritionally empty pancakes. Plus, they taste great.


Gelatin Pancakes Recipes

1 egg
1 ripe banana, smashed
1 tablespoon Vital Proteins Collagen Protein
1 tablespoon coconut oil for cooking

Stir together the egg and banana and gently stir in the collagen protein.

Heat the coconut oil and cook the batter for 2-3 minutes on each side.

This will produce a nice, fluffy pancake while avoiding white flour and other undesirables.

Oatmeal with Collagen Peptides

1 tbs grass-fed, organic butter
1 cup steel cut oats
3 cups water, boiled
1 cup organic, grass-fed milk
1/8 cup pure maple syrup
2 scoops Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides

1. In a pot, melt the butter and stir in the oats. Stir for a couple of minutes to toast.
2. Add boiling water and reduce the heat to let simmer for 25-30 minutes.
3. Stir in milk and let simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
4. Stir in maple syrup and Collagen Peptides and spoon out into a bowl.
5. Enjoy!
